Baptism

Trinitarian Baptism

Baptism is the joyous declaration and celebration of being immersed into the life of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  By grace through faith, we are saved into that great reality.  Water baptism symbolizes the spiritual cleansing and renewal that God has already done in us.  Along with Holy Communion, it is one of the two sacraments given to the church.

Baptism is commanded by Jesus for all believers.  If you were baptized as an infant in a Christian church, we do not ask you to be baptized again.  We honor and affirm the different understandings of baptism in the Body of Christ but our normal practice is to dedicate children to the Lord in a public ceremony and save water baptism for those who confess faith in Jesus.  We schedule baptisms anytime someone is ready!  For more information or questions, contact crjpalmer@gmail.com.
